Ab-Energizer and other Info-mercial products SCAM information
 

Did you get ripped off by a company selling Ab Energizers?  John Beck Seminars?  Please take the time to read this information - it is important and may help you by providing information to recover your lost money.

First, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tracy Smith and you have found a small business that my wife and I operate:  www.FamilyProductsOnline.com.  We have no connection to the company that is selling the ab-energizer, John Beck Free & Clear Real Estate package, and other items via infomercials.  Apparently you have been caught by a large TV-informercial scam and I am the unsuspecting victim of a literally HUNDREDS of emails and phone calls requesting status on related orders.  Understand that you are not alone.

Important Note: www.FamilyProductsOnline.com has NO ASSOCIATION with "www.FamilyProductsLLC.com" which is the customer service address given by the scammers on a recording at one of their 800 numbers. I do operate the website called www.FamilyProductsOnline.com. At FamilyProductsOnline.com we sell custom printed wedding invitations, rubber stamps, business cards, pens & pencils, and other custom printed or personalized products.

Fortunately we don't sell ab-energizers or marketing seminars here. (Please visit our site for verification that we are unrelated!) Please stop by our site and bookmark for future reference.  Give us the chance to show you what GREAT customer service is! (Plus, this information is not "free" to provide.  We are paying a hefty bill to host the site for so many visitors.  Help us offset the cost by placing a small order).

Many folks have landed at our website due to a search engine feature built into Netscape and Internet Explorer Browsers. The 800 number for the ab-energizer people lists a website address as "customerservice@familyproductsllc.com". This is not a real web address; in fact, it is an email address. When you type that in your browser, the internet returns an error to your PC. A new feature of most browsers is to do an automatic search on what you have typed instead of displaying the error. The search finds "Family Products Online" as the closest match since words in your browser were "Family Products LLC". Please understand that we have NO ASSOCIATION with the scammers!

I am compiling this list here and update it occasionally. I have also listed my working phone number below to let you know I am not a scam-artist. I am a small-business owner who is just as angry at scammers as you are. They are costing me a fortune in 1-800 calls and the recent overload of emails.

Over the the last several weeks, I have put together these facts:

-The Scammers might be related to Genesis Media Group, a subsidiary of GenesisIntermedia Inc. GenesisIntermedia is in financial trouble. See the section below about GenesisIntermedia.

-The Scammers have a website of www.familyproductsllc.com which is only an email front, there is no "real" website there. You can email customerservice@familyproductsllc.com which is their published email address. Most persons have not gotten a response.

-The Scammers may use the following websites: www.ab-energizer-exercise.com, www.ab-fitness-exercise.com, www.familyproductsllc.com. More information about the owners of these websites follows in this email (Including address and phone numbers).

-The Scammers may use the following phone numbers: 1-800-457-0825, 1-800-801-6130, 1-888-602-7878, 1-818-902-4100 fax: 123 123 1234, 1-888-255-2525.

As an honest, hard working small-business owner, I am interested in helping you with anyone who tarnishes the image of small businesses. My suggestions are to file complaints with the Local Better Business Bureau, and also with the Post Office. If you used the US Postal Service for any part of this transaction (such as to send them a payment by check or money order), this would fall under federal mail scam complaints as well.

INFORMATION ON GENESIS INTERMEDIA, INC.

The Infomercials may be broadcast by Genesis Media Group, a subsidiary of Genesis Intermedia, Inc. which is listed on NASDAQ as GENI. The parent company Genesis Intermedia stock was DE-LISTED on January 29, 2002. If you don't know what this means, my summary to you is that this company is belly-up. Bankrupt. Defunct. Whatever you want to call it, the stock price often indicates the "health" of the company. Right now the stock price is ZERO (it has been de-listed). Even before it was delisted, the stock was last trading at $0.001. That's not even ONE PENNY per share!
